Seats go down no issues and the seat head rests can flop over to the back for full rear view mirror view. The shelf mounts to the side Molle panels and side tops. Believe 6 bolts on each side. To make the cargo tray removable, would need to do a bit of effort on using knob bolts in place of standard ones and then, not sure that it would be easy to remove and put the cargo shelf back. I think would be a pain.

There is no back portion of the top that is removable? May be I am miss understanding.

sorry for the confusion. I was actually talking about the back section of the top of the Bronco itself. I did some research and there are connections to the bolts that hold the rear top on the bronco, so I would have to remove the bolts/brackets and reattach if i wanted to leave the rack on while going full safari mode.

Yes, no issues. This shelf sits lower then most if not all other offerings. One of the reasons why I got this one.

Uh yes, correct, two bolts on either side would have to be removed. That is easier then what I was thinking and no issues. Could get 4 thumb bolts to make it easier, 2 on each side and that would do.

on the two door model bronco with the M to M version, yes .. it states it clearly on their website that you have to have the side molle panels installed.

Yeah that's my problem with the M2M one. Like over $800 all in....
I went with the JCR, helps that I got a great deal off the forum also.

I just ordered the JCR myself. It is a simpler setup and I don't really want the side mollie panels. I did not realized there was a deal on the forum, was it a discount code?

The JCR sits high on the 2-doors and the headrests won’t fold down. Deal breaker for me.

Sorry no, bought it second hand from a forum member. I also like that it's aluminum and doesn't add much weight.

I don't love that either, however they do fold back out of the way unless you have stuff on the shelf. And in that case it doesn't really matter because the stuff is also blocking the view.
