That was my reaction, too. If the wheelbase is much shorter than the JL Unlimited, I can understand that. but if it is shorter than the JL (2dr), that could present a problem for younger buyers (and older buyers with infant grandchildren) if a rear-facing car seat won't fit properly, i.e., too short of a rear seat cushion or front seat back intrusion. Midsize supercab pickups across the board have this disadvantage."Bronco is going to have a ***much shorter wheelbase**** than the Wrangler"
We've been fairly confident about a 112" wheelbase on the 4-door since the frankenranger mules showed up with a number matching the Everest."Bronco is going to have a ***much shorter wheelbase**** than the Wrangler"
many moons ago Teocali said Bronco would be "slightly wider" than Wrangler. If both 2-doors are the same LOA, given most of Wrangler's body is inset & Bronco will appear wider, the 4-door Bronco might just have the more appealing proportionsSimilarly the few shots of a 2-door suggest it will be about the same as a JL in wheelbase.
Where do you put the roof top tent? You can actually fit quite a bit in a little 81" wheelbase 4x4 with rear seat removed - especially if willing to tie stuff on the back. This was from a trip to Moab back in the day.
Don't wanna sleep on the ground with mountain lions, coyotes, and bears around. Even if most of them would never get close to you, still makes you sleep better...Where do you put the roof top tent?
People need their comforts now. They want to take everything with them, and most can't bear to sleep like aminals on the ground.
