Hello folks, new to the forum ….thanks for having me.
so I have a 2022 Black diamond with the 2.7 and started getting a CEL and it saying it was a miss fire…..it would come and go so I was not real concerned….this went on for a couple weeks and then when I was taking it to the dealer to get it looked at it started flashing saying it was a severe miss fire. This was 4 weeks ago….long story short, ford is replacing the engine….hope to have it back this week. So my question is for the folks that might have been through this process already, have you seen any motor issues once they have replaced it? just trying to figure out if I need to get rid of it or stick with it…….i love the vehicle but I don’t need it if its going to become a head ache……I only have 26k on it.
thanks again for having me and any input you can provide

Lots and lots of 2.7’s with no issues. I wouldn’t worry about the replacement just because the first one had a problem.
Let them fix it and move on, It’ll probably be perfectly fine.

i have a 2.3 in which the engine was replaced at around 26k due to a coolant leak. It did take a while at the dealership to complete but I’m at 45k now with a brand new engine! no problems since! still love it.
