After approximately 2 months of waiting, I got back my car with a new engine. The dealer did a great job and kept the car for 50 or some miles to ensure all was working.

I have now added another 500 miles or so, and everything working as expected. I did place an order for another Bronco, just in case this one has issues at a later date.

After looking for potential alternatives, this car is an amazing value, even at MSRP. I have a BD, and there two things I wish it had. A hardtop (I did opt for the soft top as a compromise to get car earlier) and the LED Tail Lights (while I like the Halogen design, the lighting is 60s VW beetle quality), otherwise it is a great combination of fun, power, equipment and size, that can't be matched by anything in the market at the price level.

Thanks to all here, the information was very valuable in navigating FoMoCo and the process.

Is it the notorious 2.7 you had to get replaced?
