I just put it in Sport mode, 4A, tonight and it felt like it had binding or something at times... a little bucking from the Bronco. I switched it to 2H.
I would recommend having that checked out, from my understanding and driving experience you should be able to drive in 4A as a daily with. My BL is in 4A year round

Sounds like it's going to 4H instead of clutching in 4A/2H. Maybe the clutch pack needs to be replaced, or the transfer case?

What's up everyone?
I had my Bronco in 4A today as we just had a snowstorm (laughable). I put my Bronco into 4A and had binding on the smallest of turns (was not icy nor snowy).
I had issues with it previously, but we really haven't had snow since I've got it.
I remember there's a TSB for the 22's having issues with 4A binding. I literally made it up my driveway easier in 2H than with 4A.
If anyone knows the TSB for this, I will very much appreciate.

Yes, I searched. Apparently I'm not great at it.

Thank you.
Why are you in 4A if the ground was not icy or snowy?

Yeah, I didn't do it for long and reflecting on it this morning it seemed a little more like torque steer in a FWD vehicle.

I've got some mods planned before summer wheelin' and changing the front diff fluid is on the list (AMSOIL been sitting on the shelf for a couple months already). I'll try it again after I button everything up--meaning it should all work perfectly--then get it checked out if it's still doing it.

Today, I'm replacing my AC compressor belt that decided to hit the ol' dusty trail in west Texas, lol.

Why are you in 4A if the ground was not icy or snowy?
Sport mode is 4A which should be capable of daily driving on asphalt/tarmac like every other AWD vehicle vice 4H, but I get it. The Bronco 4A doesn't seem to play as nice with dry conditions as a Subaru, so you could always buy one of those. 😁

My '21 had this issue early on and they simply replaced the Transfer Case Module. No issues since.

Why wouldn't you? It's basically full-time RWD in 4A when the conditions are clear and the front wheels only intervene when slippage is detected. As I said before, people that leave it in 4A don't seem to be having any issues so it also seems to be better for the transfer case than keeping it in 2H and switching to 4A seldomly.

Yeah, I didn't do it for long and reflecting on it this morning it seemed a little more like torque steer in a FWD vehicle.
It feels different than 2H - the steering becomes more reluctant, and the front end pulling might not feel right at first - binding was on my mind as well when I spent a few days experimenting with Sport mode (and thus 4A on pavement) last week but that was not it. It takes some miles/time to get used to it.

It does help put the power down when the rear is wanting to go out sideways under bumpy & high throttle input/torque conditions(as an example).

Why wouldn't you? It's basically full-time RWD in 4A when the conditions are clear and the front wheels only intervene when slippage is detected.
Actually this is not the case, it will put equal torque to front and rear axles under low speed/low gear conditions, up to a surprising (to me) amount of steering input, only backing off (but not completely) when you really start to approach steering lock. It only lets go of the front axel at about 40 or so mph. It makes me nervous to be honest, but apparently there is enough slip to not wind up the drive line (aka 'binding'). Still, I won't be regularly using it on road, though I do off road...

You go ahead and think that, don't you dare think that the clutches will not wear when in 4A!
The Bronco is still technically a part time 4 wheel drive vehicle, use 4WD when needed, the Bronco is not a AWD crossover! lol

lol the clutch is designed to be used and wear just like anything other clutch. Just because you’re using it doesn’t mean it’s going to cause an issue. The 4A system is purpose built for ALL road conditions.

I like you Ducati, but I'm not in agreement with you on this one!
Ford themselves even claim 4A is NOT all wheel drive, but offers similar features when used.
Technically it's still a part time system and should be used as a part time.
I've always took it as an added choice when the road is slippery, but not enough to warrant 4H.

Ford is the one that says it’s acceptable for all road conditions. It’s daily use durability has already been proven 🤷‍♂️

@mpeugeot has over 100k and I believe he uses 4A 100% of the time if I’m not mistaken.
