Curious what (if any) non - lighting uses you have for your #1 30 Amp Aux switch? Most of the lights etc I’m seeing could get by with switches 3-6. I is rated for 30 Amp and 2 is rate for 15 Amp.
What are some uses you guys have for these heavier current switches?

How many amps a winch pull? I thinking it could be over 30.

You could wire a relay shut off to an aux…that’s what I have going on 6.

Ok…dumb question for this electrical noob.

what does a warn power do and why would you need it? If you were maxing the load on your battery?

It simply shuts off the power to the winch so it won’t operate. I’ve heard some do this to prevent the winch from unspooling on its own but I think the possibility of that happening is extremely low. Some might be paranoid that someone will operate their winch while they‘re away from their vehicle but again that’s unlikely since you need the winch controls plugged in and those are generally kept separate and in the vehicle. Maybe some are worried about the winch drawing power even when it’s not being used and draining the battery. I personally can’t see a reason to add a power cutoff to the winch but there are different strokes for different folks…..

In an accident not having live 2 gauge wire on the bumper is a good thing.

to make aux 1 more complicated, not only do most lights not need 30 amps, but the wire itself seems to be 1.5mm2 thick, which at most should only push 15-20 amps.. maybe it was designed for a fridge or something with spike wattage?

Power to the winch relay is good to have toggled. Seen more that a few rip bumpers off side by sides and/or rip the hook off or lock the line up.
