Would like to know how to wire the garage door remote ?
I wasn't thinking anything too crazy, maybe just rip apart some cheap remote, solder wires to either side of the membrane button connection, wire it to the AUX switch, and then toggle on and off the aux switch anytime I want a button press. Then duct tape the beautiful assembly somewhere near the fore end of the engine compartment. I don't know off hand whether the AUX switches are wired to source power or just make a connection, though, so I guess I'd have to check that first. If they switch in 12V I'd have to revise my plan slightly (add a relay).

Edit: I guess I'm not the first genius to cook this up. It'd basically be what this dude does, but replace the push button with the AUX switch lead connection (again assuming the switch closes a connection and does not source 12V).

I wouldn’t worry so much over the amperage or wire size... just use them to operate relays for anything requiring real power.

There is going to have to be a little learning to figure out how to connect things to these switches to use inside cabin

If it's like the raptor there are pass-through wires in the firewall that you wire the underhood aux wiring to if you need power inside the cab.

And then bring them back through to the cabin?

This could definitely have some uses... Not sure how you'd accomplish it though.
I’m talking to a buddy about it something with the fuses and a relay. I don’t know enough about it to talk intelligently but apparently it’s not a challenging project.

something like this might be good for outdoorsmen or hunters. I dunno that was my thinking

I can see this being useful for Drive-In theaters (assuming For hasn't already thought of how to kill them while in Park).

If you get it figured out be sure to let us know how 💪💪💪.

You could put a winch on one if you add a power interrupt. Wouldn't put a fridge on one of these.

Air compressor is a popular choice.
Why not a fridge? What would the wire running to the back quarter panel be used for if not a fridge?

So there are six included/available factory installed auxiliary switches (depending on the model you are getting) for the new Broncos. I for one will probably not be mounting six switches worth of aftermarket lighting to my Bronco. So I am looking for other ideas for how to put these switches to use.

I have heard a few ideas already, such as running a mini fridge or winches. What are some other good uses for these switches?

Or what about less practical, but nonetheless amusing uses for them? I was thinking about labeling one of the buttons “DO NOT TOUCH!” and also rigging it to spray water in the passenger’s face if they flip it.

So let’s hear everybody’s ideas!!

When I was in line for my Bronco ( I decided to wait ultimately) I thought a cool idea would have been to have one of them connected to the ignition for security. Bad guy breaks in to try to steal it, can’t get it to start as he has no idea about switch #3. I know...crazy but I thought it would’ve been kinda cool.

Quick question for y’all: what are you planning on hooking up to your aux switches that may be a bit unique?

With 6 switches available I’m not even sure I can think of enough things to fill’m up with. Initial thoughts are:

-light bar over windshield
-lights over bumber (love the baja designs)
-fog lights in bumper pocket
-CB radio
-maybe a portable fridge hookup for camping 🤔
-not sure if Im going to go with a winch or not; doubtful but i guess theres a switch there for that
- maybe underglow if im feeling fancy
