I wasn't thinking anything too crazy, maybe just rip apart some cheap remote, solder wires to either side of the membrane button connection, wire it to the AUX switch, and then toggle on and off the aux switch anytime I want a button press. Then duct tape the beautiful assembly somewhere near the fore end of the engine compartment. I don't know off hand whether the AUX switches are wired to source power or just make a connection, though, so I guess I'd have to check that first. If they switch in 12V I'd have to revise my plan slightly (add a relay).Would like to know how to wire the garage door remote ?
Edit: I guess I'm not the first genius to cook this up. It'd basically be what this dude does, but replace the push button with the AUX switch lead connection (again assuming the switch closes a connection and does not source 12V).
