Great work @CarbonSteel and much appreciated (and perfect timing) as I am currently on the new tires hunt and compiling my own list of tire specs for comparison like this is exhausting!


There is only one set of tires I didn't see that I'm comparing against this master list (since you added the Nitto Recon Grapplers):

Toyo Open Country R/T "Trail" - (45K Warranty)

35 - E - TD: 17 - D: 34.5 - W: 12.5 - 67lbs
Revs per Mile - 602 / Max Load: 3640

315 - D - TD: 17 - D: 34.4 - W: 12.7 - 68lbs
Revs per Mile - 604 / Max Load: 3195


Side Note:

There is one other specification that I wish manufaturers would clearly list for their tires regardless of the load range - whether or not they have a 2 or 3-ply sidewall

An example of this is the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in 35X12.50R17LT. They are "D" rated so some might assume since It's not "E" rated that it only has 2-Ply sidewalls but sure enough, it has 3-Ply (which makes sense when you consider the weight of these tires).

I really like my Toyo R/T's except everywhere except on wet pavement

My only concern is that is a Load Range E tire and there have been times the weights for the tires from the OEM or 3rd party websites is not correct.

I would expect LRE in a 35" tire to be heavier, but if that weight is correct, that is not bad.

Added the Kanati Overland RTX to the 35 sheet. LR-C and only 4.0lbs heavier than the Territory MT.

They have a LR-C 37" coming soon too... I expect it to be pretty light weight. I'll add it once it is released.

OEM Bronco knock-off (from your post on the JL Wrangler site)? LOL.

I like Kanati's..had a set of 315/70/17 Trail Hogs that were great, but heavy.

LRC is nice on these, but I'm not sure they are any better/cheaper than the OEMs.

While the tread pattern is similar, I wouldn’t expect the rest of the tires construction to be all that similar…. At least as it relates to different tire manufacturers. Also the tread voids are significantly larger on the shoulder blocks. Kanati’s are known for being durable…. GoodforaYears are not.

It's the same for the Trail Hogs, they are Duratrac tread knock-offs. As LRE, they cannot help but be durable and they were quite attractive when they were really cheap, but their prices are starting to rise.

I put about 20K on mine before I jumped up to 37's. I had to replace one that would not balance, but Greenball took care of it in about a week.
