1. The M2 was not trying. Don’t bet pink slips 😂
2. Tuners reduce the electronic delay the factory settings have for WOT. So there is somewhat of an illusion created of the peak power increase. You are most likely noticing the increased throttle sensitivity in your tuned Wildtrak vs the stock tuning in the Braptor. In a timed race heads up vs a Braptor in the optimum drive mode you might be close to Raptor performance tho. The Braptors weigh quite a bit more than a Wildtrak.
Maybe he was not pushing as hard as he could have, maybe not. Either way, for 5,000 pounds, still not bad. I am sure I am not setting any record numbers, and not trying.

No matter what you do, 0 to 60 with 35s you might get 5 seconds, your still throttled at 102, and tires are rated at 96 to 112 mph. You'll get there fast, but not setting any land speed records.

It is all about the torque, passing, climbing, and pulling power.

Seriously, on this board, why would you ask that?

Did you really need 37's to get where you need to go?

99.997% of the folks with Sasquatch will never "wheel it".
So then you have have to ask, why 35's?

Now I feel guilty for putting 35's on my Base. 🙄

NOT. 🖕
😁
I’d be careful before you get to know someone, I do offroad, every weekend. These pics are pre37’s and I’m updating for overlanding.

I know you offroad. That is not in question.
I meant no disrespect.

Just saying, .... it was a silly question to ask on this board that is all about modifying the vehicles.

He just wants the look, as do the vast majority of folks on this board who will most likely never need f&r lockers and 35's.

But here we are....

Thanks so much for all the responses!! I actually pulled trigger got the SVC off-road perch collar installed and a set of 37” R/T on lil Pepe. Took for a good drive yesterday only rubbing I could find was on lil plastic mud flaps up front, removed them and have over 1 in of clearance on full lock everywhere. Had her on highways, city, some dirt roads, and in Michigan it’s pot hole haven so a lil off road….lol. Love the way she rides now !!

Actually it isn't an entirely bad question. I do agree with the response too - not dogging on HoosierDaddy here, he's not wrong either.

tldr: "Because I want to" is a perfectly valid reason when you are the one paying for it

Short story: So my Bronco came with aftermarket 35's from the dealer. I do off road some - not every weekend, like I'd like to, but about once per month or so. I'm fortunate enough to live near some great places to run around. Most of it is pretty tame dirt road, but there are some doozeys out my way. After my 35's finally gave out, I had bought a set of W/T takeoffs, and was thinking of getting a set of 37's. I don't really wheel often enough to justify it, or wheel on anything hard enough that the 35's weren't already sufficient. And I only have the m190 front end, and 4.46 gear, and the weaker steering rack, and the older 2.3 i4... and a bunch of other reasons that most people would say you shouldn't even consider 37" tires.

But I did it anyway. Mostly because I just wanted to see if I could get away with it, and see what it would add for me out on the trails I do run.

My intention was to get the 37's and just mostly use them for trail running, and keep the SAS tires for day to day and winter/off season driving. Between the expense of the bigger tires themselves, the hassle of getting up into a taller truck, the hit on acceleration and performance... I'd just want to keep the bigger tires on when out on the trail, then swap back to the super-lightweight Goodyear Territories for my day to day driving.

I did research all winter long last winter. I had a list on my desk of various tires, and whenever I'd see something interesting, if it looked like it may be a winner, I'd put it on my list. I think I had 5 or 6 various tires on there that were all good candidates. I already had most of the lift with my adjustable coil overs and UCA. I added a 3/4" body lift and did the JKS kit. Once I did this, I did notice a hit to my mileage, even still running the 35"s for a while. The body lift alone dropped me about 1 mpg. I ran this way for about a month while I went shopping for tires.

I was just about to pull the trigger on M/T Baja Boss ATs... and then I went down and bought a tire that wasn't even on my list, and was even bigger than I was planning on: 38"x11.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Fortunately, they fit. I had some very minor plastic rubbing in the rear, and I addressed that with a 1/4" top hat on the coil over.

They fit, and ... I love the way they rode. I love the extra height. There was a hit on acceleration -true. And I did notice a hit on traction going to a narrower tire. And they are heavier, noticeably so when trying to do a tire rotation. But my mileage didn't really take a hit. I liked driving daily with them so much so that I never mounted my 35" take offs and sold them later this summer (I hope they are treating the new owner well).

And when I got them off road - yeah, they do a bit better. I am not really doing any different trails with them (yet, at least), but I can approach lines much more confidently. It's kinda like a locker - I didn't need them (for what I'm running, anyway), but when you get in a situation they make it a lot easier by just plowing through rather than backing up and trying a different line. I do have to be careful not to spin them out in soft stuff and dig ruts - that's easier to do with a narrow tire, but the additional diameter makes it easier to get up and on stuff. The pros outweigh the cons.

It made my Bronco more fun to drive. That's really what it boiled down to. It makes absolutely zero logical sense for on-road, and in my case with all the "lesser bronco" equipment it doesn't even make sense off road, I'm very likely to destroy my m190 or throw out a tie rod or something... (knock on wood, I haven't yet). They cost a lot more money, and I put a lot of miles on my Bronco. But really I choose to drive the Bronco because it's fun, not because it makes sense as any sort of sense as a commuter. So it's one more thing I'm willing to pay for to bring some joy to my day. And if I break something with them - a great excuse to upgrade.
