Has it been addressed why the 2 door isn't available with a 3 person rear seat like the 4 door? I'd pay for that as an option. I have 3 kids and a 4 door isn't an option.

Good question.... I was thinking to make the seats easier to remove!

Presumably b/c the fender wheels interfere w/ the seat. If you look at the dimensions it's more the hip room than anything else that is different from the 4, I want to say shoulder room was the same.

2 door seats are in between the rear wheel wells. Because it's narrower, you only get 2 spaces.
The 4 door doesn't have this limitation.

I really wanted 3 seat belts in the back of the 2 door. I have 3 kids also. This has been the biggest issue for me thus far. I believe the jeep 2 door has three belts in the back?

Just to expand:
2-DR hip room is 43.3". 4-DR hip room it 54.8" (*had 56.8" which is wrong...that's hip room in front seat of 2-DR*)

If they put 3 seat belts in the 2-DR, then people would expect to fit 3 adults....imagine all the complaints when they had to sit on each others laps to do so :p

What’s weird about this is that my Isuzu has the same setup with a slightly smaller size, yet sits three across. Ford seems to have had a specific type of owner in mind for the 2DR that I think might have needed to be expanded upon. Families have 2DR vehicles as well.

Do what I do usually do with my three kids. Leave one at home with a copy of the movie "Home Alone" LOL
