I’m so sad to post this but hoping for some advice or insight from anyone who has had to work through collision repair. Our Badlands took a punch this morning.
Bronco was at a dead stop in the turn lane waiting to turn left. A small sedan pulled out into the intersection right in front of an SUV which caused it to veer into the oncoming turn lane. The speed limit in the area is 45 and I imagine the Lexus was traveling somewhere near that speed. No police report yet so I’m just speculating.
I will update in the future with any insurance information.
Day one reservation with delivery in September 2021. After waiting so long for this truck, then absolutely adoring it, I am gutted to see it in this shape.
Edit 7/31/23:
Well, three months in and I still don’t have my Bronco. Insurance did not total it and wrote a check for $28,000 for repairs. That was about a month ago so we are still waiting for the collision center to finish purchasing all the parts and begin repairs.
Edit 10/23/2023
Well friends, we are up to $32,000 along with 6 months of rental car expenses. Still no truck in my driveway and still not totaled. Fingers are crossed that we get some sort of resolution by the end of the year.
April 2024 - FINALLY RESOLVED! She's finally fixed and back home ALMOST in the same condition she was in before the accident. I don't really have anything kind to say about the Collision Center that handled the repairs and we definitely ran into all the same issues others have complained about regarding parts availability.
I'm just so thankful that it's finally finished.
Back on the trail at last!
