So we came down to Homer for my birthday weekend (the big 34) and I purposely drove the Bronco 1 for adaptive cruise and 2 I really wanted to take it out on the beach. The drive down was about 230 miles from home. My 2.7 SAS managed 19.8 MPG the highest I've ever seen and that was with multiple high speed passes.

Anyhow, wake up to the most beautiful, warm days of the year mid 50s and sunshine, we got sun burnt haha decided to hit the beach, I started out in 4A but it soon was evident 4L with the rear locker would make things easy as pie which it did. This is the most "off roading" my Bronco has ever done. Absolutely loved the cameras, trail control set to 4 mph was absolutely perfect for cruising over the rocks. Very impressed with how easy it handled the very loose shale.

Awesome! We took ours down to Bishop's Beach this time last year. It was so much fun. We also went down to Whiskey Gulch and drove on that beach too. Just wish the drive wasn't so long.

Looks fantastic1, both your Bronco and the views!
+ 19.7mpg in a 2.7L SAS, wow! I haven't even made it up to 17mpg yet in mine. My best is 16.7 mpg so far.
I was absolutely blown away! Around town I typically get 14.5-15 sometimes worse depending on my heavy foot.

Nice scenery for sure!!
Did an AK trip about a decade ago. We based out of my buddy's place in North Pole, and went all over. Homer, Seward, Prince William Sound (in a small boat), caribou hunting (about 6hrs by 4wheeler out of Chicken, etc etc. What an awesome trip!!

Nice to see you enjoying your Bronco!!
I've had my trip mileage up as high as 20.5 mpg with very conservative driving.(2.7L Sas)
My around town mileage is pretty much the same as yours.

Love the beach dark sand and rock! Not what we're used to here back East in the Outer Banks! Its nice to have such capable vehicle for beach riding. 50° and sunshine is what March is like in NC. Enjoy your excellent car on the beach. Never been there!

Left to go home today and didn't even make it outta Homer 🤣 so my drive home was much more conservative. I obtained over 20!

I like the silver sasquatch wheels. Did you paint them or bead blast them?
They are my factory Sasquatch wheels I had them blasted and powder coated bright silver metallic, I absolutely love them.

What kind of lift and tires do you have on it?
None, my Bronco is a Sasquatch Outerbanks. All stock suspension, wheels, tires.

No fishing?
Nah, I'm not a big fisherman and don't like seafood. I'm born and raised Alaskan too haha but I typically go out once a year of Seward with my great uncle for Halibut.

I was scrolling through your post enjoying the scenery, then I looked up at the boat pictures and I am like no way, the Qualifier 105 I went on that boat back in the 90's out of San Diego it truly is a small world. Thanks for bringing back some memories.

Did you go see the $8.5Mil Alaska home down there that's going viral? 😅

I know the house, I have friends that have stayed there multiple times. We actually passed it leaving the boat yard cafe.

OP, thanks for sharing, beautiful scenery and your vb Bronco looks fantastic. Did you have the SAS wheels repainted? Looks good with silver Bronco script badging. I’m awaiting a 23 OBX in vb and looking forward to starting mods!

Nice.

Homer has the best breakfast burrito I've ever had in my life at Latitude 59.
