I read a lot of instruction manuals and looked at a bunch of aftermarket bumpers before I built my mount. I would have done what you did. But couldn’t buy the mount separately. I did share early on with Justin from marketing, after I asked about buying the reinforcement plates separately. You sound like you know a little about the mounting systems. I was on the team that helped develop it for Ford and it was put through a lot of testing to meet all of the Ford requirements. 8274 should be fine but I will be looking closely if I ever get to full pull on the winch to make sure nothing is moving. The 8274 is a beast of a winch, if you give it enough power she will just keep pulling. Best winch in my opinion we have ever built, fast strong and extremely reliable.
I had some trouble with supply over the last couple of years from Warn, winches/mounts were taking over a year on some stuff. Always got helped when I called corporate. We have about 15 Warn winches at anytime at work on a variety of vehicles (including our Oregon built snow cat)
