Not sure what you mean, if you let out the clutch it will naturally bring the RPM down to match the speed. I have never waited for the engine to slow before letting out the clutch.
Yeah but if you let out the clutch quickly, it will jump the RPM's to a slower speed. So I either have to wait, or clutch out quite slowly (which, to my knowledge, would increase clutch wear)

Curious about the Boomba shifter. Can I ask what aspects of it you like? TIA!
The knob definitely makes things smoother, shifter I get install tuesday the 27th, so cant comment on that. Its not as heavy as I thought but the weigh definitely helps

my only complaint is the lack of variety, would have loved some colors options

I’m a fan of the Boomba knob as well. Taking it on my first longer trip with it tomorrow. But, I chalk it up to another one of those “shoulda came this way” modifications.

It makes your wallet $95 lighter. I don’t have one, but consider me a doubter on this mod.

Yup, the knob is not a performance mod…more of an everyday comfort thing. I really liked the stock leather one, but the Boomba knob feels much better.

I also have the short shift kit, but haven’t gotten around to installing it.

On my baseBase, I felt like the tranny/tires/gears were way over geared. 1st felt too short and led to a lurchy 1-2 shift.
When I swapped on the new 35's, it went from being very over geared to ever so slightly under geared, but it launches and does the 1-2 shift MUCH better now.
I'd say 33's would be the perfect fit for the manual and 4.46 gear set I have.

Look up Dusty's videos for manual offroading. They're excellent.

I keep forgetting the crank in gear feature ... but my daughter has used the self restart after you stall it feature. LOL She's just learning.
I have badlands, no sas, and the 7MT is spot on. Perfect tire size for gearing

Finally got my schedule for 10/23, 2.3 manual Badlands non squatch. Can’t wait.
Just picked out non-Sas Badlands up on Saturday, you’re going to love it. All of my other sticks have been 5-speeds, so I’ll have to get used to the new position for reverse, and my wife stalled it twice accidentally trying to start out in 3rd, but it shifts like a dream.

Yep. I drove into the dealer with a 5 speed and drove out only after stalling in 3rd on my first attempt. And then again at the first stoplight, with my salesman along for his first bronco ride. Quite embarrassing. 😁

As Cypher says in The Matrix ‘Everyone fails the first time’.
