Yeah that guy has a video up of the soft top opening on the highway in high winds.I just saw that video. With the soft top opening on the sides maybe that guy with the snow in his didn't actually leave it open.
Another reason I went with the bestop trektop after driving it home 900 miles with the oem soft top in 60mph crosswinds. The amount of wind and dirt making it in through the top above the doors was ridiculous. Don't have that problem with the bestop version.Yeah that guy has a video up of the soft top opening on the highway in high winds.
So the soft top sucks...at least the hard top is perfect and readily available

Thank you, This is good news. I have been waiting for a review comparing the OEM softop to the bestop. I am especially interested in how they compare in adverse and winter conditions.Another reason I went with the bestop trektop after driving it home 900 miles with the oem soft top in 60mph crosswinds. You guys are in UT! I flew to Ohio for my FE, I totally understand the drive your making, except for wind, I got a blizzard. Anyways, would love to link up sometime, we really want to get into the off-road scene here.
Curious, what part needs to be latched?Looks like the midpoint clips (above the rear doors) were not latched. It seems to be a problem with the softtops.
Wellā¦I live in CO. So Iāll experience winter for sure. I have a bestop on my jeep and ita been great the last 8yrs.Thank you, This is good news. I have been waiting for a review comparing the OEM softop to the bestop. I am especially interested in how they compare in adverse and winter conditions.
Yeah, Bestop has been making quality tops for years - even ones that donāt wrinkle believe it or not. Whoever makes Fordās soft top, is about as experienced as Webasto is at making hard tops.Thank you, This is good news. I have been waiting for a review comparing the OEM softop to the bestop.
