We love the floor platforms offered by companies such as goose gear, JCR Off-road, and American Adventure series. While all those units are nice, they can be very expensive. So I decided to give it a try with making my own and I love the way it turned out.

Looks good, I made my own also. I couldn’t justify the crazy price tag for a floor. Got measurements and sent them to a local CNC Shop. Used aluminum for the material. Happy with the turnout for $200.

Looking good! If you didn’t have the amp under the floor would you have skipped the pieces for raising it up?

I wouldn’t have been worried about the gaps without it, but I’d still need the height for the fridge slide to clear the threshold

Nice job, it looks good. I'm thinking of building my own like you did to accomodate my fridge slide. There are other builds/videos that result in a raised platform, provding both some storage, and leveling the entire back. Now that you've had yours in place for ~7 months, I'm curious if you wish you would have done the raised / leveling platform? (and thinking about it, you still could by just adding additional height to your existing platform).

Planning to do this as well with a platform across the top of the fridge slide when the fridge is not in, and all the way across the back. It would look like an E on its side. Fridge slide on the right and I can put a board in the opening on the left to use as a pullout tray. All in my head anyway.

Can’t wait to see it when you’re done!
