@Bronco SWAT Jeremy is correct in that it is for mounting the light harness for a trailer.

The Trailer Tow package is an option. You can order the parts from your dealer. If you only need a 4-pin, many early 6G builds opted for the Curt trailer hitch and harness as the tow package was a constraint.

If you need the 7-pin harness and module, then order through Ford Parts/Accessories and select the dealer install option. It is much cheaper to pay for the installation through the website.

Many Thanks, Luckily, I do not require a tow hitch. I had one on my Ranger when I still towed my RV.
