But why on earth would the shop want to use spacers instead of simply moving the adjusters. A bit less on the rear and a bit more on the front and it should be level. I do question the choice of the spring rate on the rear though.it looks like the shop just randomly set the collars at their mid point. You should have some room to ad preload in front and remove preload in rear. This will help with ride height.
Lubricate not only the threads but spraying some lube at the adjuster face and spring will also help. Of course the vehicle jacked up by the frame until the tires are barely off the ground to relieve some spring pressure will help. It’s by no means an easy or quick adjustment without a spring compressor but can definitely be done with a good adjuster tool and some effort.
