Well I said that but could change. If you go to. 13.50 and 0 offset the you don't need the spacers. If you go a different offset then maybe or if you go a 12.50 this would be ideal. I just decided to buy them since I am running 12.50s and already hosed a flare.I will be putting Nitto Ridge Grappler 38s on it so collars will be next.
So your going to run 38x13.5x17 correct as I believe the Ridge only come in 13.5 not 12.5?
@vrtical ? Thanks! So, just to clarify, you've actually tested full travel front and rear and full travel+lock front with your setup? Thanks.
You've added a lot of width! Sure stock setups need to handle clearance for mud, rocks, snow, chains, etc.I need to get real pics don't have a forklift. I am going to the park on the 20th. Do you really think a 36.5 has any issues?
Understand your concerns. For reference true 38s can be an issue that has been reported and that's .75 circumference bigger at full Baja compression. I also see a lot of people doing it wrong on calculations because at 20psi tires are much smaller. You've added a lot of width! I've got rubbing in daily driver condition in my current 4Runner with a minor tire size upgrade. I don't want such problems in the future.
We would all benefit from such photos and observations of clearance. Have fun, push her good!
I was not correct on the Nitto Ridge Grappler they do come in 12.5 and the Trails only come in 13.5. I went back and forth between them when choosing the 38's for my Braptor and bought the Ridge in the 12.5 on stock beadlock capable wheels. I have 1"/2" Foutz and have a slight rub when fully locked. Might get a set of spacers to have no rubbing at all.Well I said that but could change. If you go to. 13.50 and 0 offset the you don't need the spacers. Helps save potential damage to the flares. Your tire will hit first. Turns out Raptor flares are considerably more expensive. What performance gains do these provide or are they just cosmetic?
can't get them either or not easily.Helps save potential damage to the flares. Your tire will hit first. Turns out Raptor flares are considerably more expensive.
I am guessing you are talking Fouts 1 1/2" perch collars?I was not correct on the Nitto Ridge Grappler they do come in 12.5 and the Trails only come in 13.5.
