Adding Sound Insulation for 4 Dr. Hardtop?

I’m preparing to make a trip from SC to MT in my 4Dr. Bronco. I added a Yakima lock-n-load platform to my factory roof rack plus pelican cases for added storage. The increase in wind noise is pretty significant so I’m asking the group if anyone has added aftermarket sound insulation to their 4 door Bronco? If so did it help, and what brand. Pictures would be helpful.

Welcome! Yes there are plenty around with sound deadening materials on hardtops, in the rear cargo area, doors (some door frames).

I used Killmat on my soft top for only the floor. Doors will be later. Now, this will help you a bit, but for the noise that you are describing I don’t think it will help at all, as it is cause by wind drag.

I need to get that slide out and install for that exact same purpose. Loading up the dogs into their Ruffland kennels. I installed the Hot Head headliner w/ the sound assassin option but unfortunately, not sure if it'll help in your case or not since the wife's Bronco doesn't have a rack or anything on top.

Hot glue gun and an egg-crate foam mattress pad, it should look a little cleaner than the Anderson HT headliner.
