ADV, At this point I don't think it is too much to ask for the meat on the bones. We are closing quickly on your order date at the end of this month so for us all to make big decisions please answer the following questions today, not every Monday leading to the order:
1. Complete price list by type of top (smooth ready for paint, textured, etc).
2. Complete option list such as sound deadening, rear window washer, etc, etc.

The weekly incremental rollout of kibbles and bits of information has outlived its usefulness. Your customers expect you to provide timely, detailed answers at this point.

We'll have to see how Patriot Fastbacks' offering turn out.

Nothing yet about it on their web site, but based on what they've been letting out via Facebook, it looks like their first offering for the Bronco will be very similar to this one that they have out for the J••p. Their price for this one is $3,881.25 , so I assume the price will be similar for the Bronco version.

Here's the rendering that they've put out so far for their Bronco version:

We'll have to wait and see when both companies' products hit the market, and we start hearing from those who've bought them, but it looks to me like of the two, Patriot Fastbacks is going to have the much better product of the two at a lower price.

I was expecting that with a more basic product, Advanced Fiberglass Concepts would offer it at a lower price, but it looks like that is not the case.
ADV looks better, to me. MUCH better.

ouch about what i expected but ouch if that's for a base version. Options are going to probably add another $1k and shipping . If you get it painted you're looking at $8500+ all said and done. Too rich for my blood, i'll stick with the soft top for a few years

Yes, but you don't get a $4000 (Ford price) soft top. The top upgrade is not $695.... It's the price of a softtop plus $695

Saaaaaaay Whaaaaat?

Are you telling me... That I can order a Brand New Bronco, from the factory, with no top at all and save $4000? I am in!! Heck, I will take four!

Oh, wait. Back to reality. That choice is not available. I still have to order a $4000 (Using your pricing logic) soft top and then pay an additional $5000+ for a top other than the $695 failed hard top option from the Factory. What you are really saying is RSHart is correct.

Gotcha!

Back to figuring out what is a fake news post and what is not...

price is right about where I thought it would be.
now what are the options and pricing. i was curious so I checked the patriot jeep 4 dr hardtop shipping for west coast to CT and they had it at 500.00 flat rate shipping charge so I imagine ADV will be in the same price neighborhood

Im almost afraid to ask but what is the option pricing like (rear def, rear wiper and sound deadening)? I have a 4dr Wildtrak soft top sitting in a train yard in Chicago on its way to Minnesota and depending on options and shipping it may have to stay a soft top for a while.

So $5750 for the base top plus tax and $500-$1000 to ship and then add your "upgrades" like defrosters, sound deadening, and wiper motor....maybe throw in a bag for the front section to go into. $7000 for a top, very affordable.

Let's step thru this logically. What was the price of the dual top option? Less than $3k IIRC. That includes the soft top and MIC hard top. The price of the soft top is built into the base MSRP. Since you keep the soft top with the dual top package the cost of the dual top package is essentially Ford's retail price for the MIC top once they have proper inventory. To buy it over the counter you're looking at roughly that number plus shipping. More for the mod top when it finally arrives. Why is it $7k right now? Because they don't have inventory to sell, last I knew you couldn't even buy the whole thing under a single part number. So, you have to price the pieces individually which carries a massive premium. It'll be much less down the road but still likely $4-5k with shipping for the MIC and $5-6k for the mod top.

I'm speaking from the point that a Ford hardtop is not $695 dollars. It's an upgrade of $695.

but where did Ford release that...
If you are interested, you can look through my post history. They guy had a photo of the crate that the MIC came in along with the bill. It was being installed at the dealer. I don't have to prove anything. Just passing along that there is precedent for a high cost. Now, I suspect as the supply exceeds demand then the price will come down but that won't be anytime soon.

I've been saying for some time that when the hard tops become available (MIC/MOD) that those who opted for the softie to get their Bronco quicker will have to do the calculus on the trade-in value of their Bronco and getting a new one with the appropriate HT from the factory vs. buying from the parts counter.

Shipping cost estimate?
probably a lot more expensive than the gas from phoenix to Costa Mesa :-D
ADV and Patriot Fastbacks are both in about the same area, not far from Los Angeles. I think a third possible source has also emerged, in that same general area, , but whatever details I saw aren't coming to my mind right now.

I'm figuring that if I end up buying a top from any of these sources, I'll probably just make the drive down there from Sacramento, get the top installed down there, and drive home. Make it a two-day trip, less than a day travel each way, and some time to see some sights along the way.

So this top came in almost exactly where I thought it would. My guess was $5K for the single piece and $6K for the modular, and they’re both right in the middle of that range.

Yes, it’s a chunk of change, but those of us who live in reality aren’t surprised. It was a pipe dream for some to think this was going to cost 2 or 3K. Gimme a break.

I originally ordered a hard top and switched to soft. I’m pleasantly surprised with the soft top, but there are still times when I would prefer a hard top, and I’ll guarantee I won’t be going with OEM Ford!

I won’t be committing to the ADV top until I’ve seen it in the real world and it lives up to the promise. If it’s what we’ve been led to believe as far as quality, fit and finish, I doubt anyone will match it for significantly less money. We shall see…
