Maybe it is like the Tacoma hood scoop. Just looks, no actual vent opening.Seems like a big opening to scoop up dust, dirt, and water. This isn’t a race car.
Looks fine, but don’t see the need for a scoop… Unless it’s for ice cream.
Or maybe the you look at any engine bay and see the huge openings in front of the vehicle for air to the radiator, no closure at the bottom, and realize dust coming through a hood scoop won't hurt anything.
Another thing to consider, AEV makes vented hood for jeeps. Their purpose is to help prevent heat buildup on the trail, where you have a hard working engine and low airflow.
All that to say, not a fan of the look, but others will love it
