So, which aftermarket hitches install with the bolts inserted from the front of the vehicle so you don't have to remove the bumper?

Looks like the Curt might be able to installed from either direction?

I installed the Curt as you described.
I saw another post where the guy bought new bolts that were 1/2 an inch shorter, probably not a bad idea, the ones they sent damn near still make contact coming out the other side.

With the bumper on, the bolts can only go on front to rear. I had to shorten the bolts that came with the CURT hitch to make it fit correctly.

They're pretty much all the same, just insert the bolts from the front.

My curt fit fine with no mods or bumper removal

Did need to start at angle inserting bolts. Don't tighten things until all bolts in.

Installed Rough Country hitch this weekend, and the bolts can go either way. I wanted the bolts to go back to front so I removed the bumper. It was incredibly easy to remove (eight 15mm bolts and one wire connector) and the extra room made it way easier to torque (280 lb/ft!!!). Realignment was a no-brainer.

If you do remove the bumper, you do not need to remove the 13mm bolts (oops).

I have the curt with the Ford Metal Bumper. I installed it without removing. It’s not hard. No cutting for me.

I just received the Curt 51062 class III hitch for my birthday, which is now beyond the return period, happy to see a fellow base owner had successfully installed with removing bumper.
