While there are some fantastic pre-cut sound deadening kits available, they unfortunately don't fit into my budget. However, I came across a video where someone used the Amazon Basics sound deadening material, and I thought I'd give it a shot.
I purchased a box that contained 9 pieces, each measuring 18"x32", and I must say, it was a great deal for the price. The material was packaged securely and arrived in good condition. Installing it was surprisingly straightforward if you have razor blades and a marker on hand. Instead of investing in a dedicated roller, I found that a short 2" piece of PVC pipe worked just as well to press the material down.
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, as you can see in the pictures. One tip I'd like to share is to remember to place some pieces inside the jack area as well. If you're interested, I've included links to the material I used, as well as other miscellaneous items I found helpful for my speaker installation. I broke most of the white clips when removing the side plastic, likely I found replacements on Amazon that are better than OEM.
