Anyone replace Shift Knob yet?

Hey, has anyone else noticed something in the shifter mechanism wearing a hole through the shift boot? If I’m looking down at the shifter it’s happening at about the 8:00 position (12:00 points at the front of the Bronco). I’ve only got 3,500 miles on it and the hole’s ~1/8” in diameter. I’d take it to a dealer but expect they’ll tell me I’d need to leave it for a few weeks…

Anyone else see this?

Not a Bronco but still a Star Wars fan.

This is aluminum and does get hot in the summer and cold in the winter but the trade off is worth it to me. It’s not untouchable.

Is it possible to swap knobs in the Automatic or only the Manual?

I also ordered the cue balls, looks amazing, however I did notice that after installing it, my finger does rub up against the locking nut, which doesn't feel all that good. Has anyone had a similar experience? Perhaps wrapping it with something would help.

Just got my Twisted Shifter... messing around using a screw driver to pop the cap off and it's not working... how'd you do yours?

Late to the party as usual, butter knives at 3 and 9 o'clock worked well for me. Carefully insert each blade under the cap and pry up, one knife in each hand.

twisted shifterz was kind enough to send me a new adapter, as I had issues with the one I got. Its been updated to no longer need the set screw, and its slightly shorter. Fits real snug now.

Yep, I notice it as well. I bought the white knob with the grill patern and love it but the adpter on mine has too much play on the stick. Screw is down tight but the adapter moves a little so I just removed it altogether. I think I'll see if they can send another.

contact them, they sent me a replacement adapter which doesn't have the set screw, see my post above

I just sent them an email describing the problem. Mine didnt have a set screw either but I can see the fitment on the stick isnt right since it moves around slightly when installed and screwed down. Thanks!

If I could get a boomba off, Id swap my shiftboot and also get a color matched knob

i had to use a wrench and hammer, slide the wrench under the ball with the open end and hammer it up.
