Anyone replace Shift Knob yet?

Ok... just surfing around the web and landed on a shift knob site and it made me wonder...

Any of you guys replaced your shift knob yet... what did you go with and was it easy to do?

I watched a video on here from Budget Bronco about replacing the shift boot but that seems a little to much for me to tackle at least in a I don't need to sense... but the knob seems pretty straight forward and I wanted to see if its been done by any of you guys yet.

Super easy to swap. Just pop off the cap carefully and use Allen key to take off top bolt and off it comes. I used twisted shifterz knob

I also ordered the cue ball (in black) for my Bronco, but I didn't like the extra height of the adapter. I bought their factory height aluminium shift knob. It's a little big, but I like the height. I kept the cue ball in case I change my mind again.

Ok that knob looks fantastic... considering one in Blue... How much higher does the a dapter make the knob sit what is your thoughts on working the collar to shift into reverse with the new knob?

Any issues with the aluminum getting too hot to touch in the summers?

They both do get quite warm, but I put a microfiber cloth over it or use my windshield shade to keep it tolerable.

Got any pics? That's the one I was considering, but afraid it will get crazy hot in the summer.

I installed the BOOMBA shift knob. Easy install and I like it much better than the OE shift knob. Its solid and has a good feel. No heat or cold problems. Hope this helps.

I ordered the Twisted Shifter Aluminum knob but they sent one with the wrong shift pattern etched on it. It's a nice piece though. They are sending out another one. If AR makes the prototype I saw I will be getting one of those.

How is driving with it? Its exactly what I want, but I'm always leery about adapters, heights, and stuff like that with a shifter. I bought something similar for my TT that has never been quite right.

@Hkak45 do you have a side picture? Or, do either of you have a measurement for the actual height difference?

I wonder if they will come out with the newer (maybe factory height?) version, I just emailed them so we'll see...

This was in Neutral position. Don't have measurement of stock.
