apple CarPlay strangeness

i've noticed that apple CarPlay's UI is slightly different on the bronco with the 12" screen compared to my two VW's.

on the VW's, in apple music, the UI displays a Letter selector (A-W or A-Z) for the artist like in this photo on my golf R

but, the letter selector doesn't appear on the ford bronco UI in either partial or full screen modes

same iPhone used for both.

any ideas on how to get the letter selector working?

i do occasion want to listen to Warren Zebon, but don't really want to scroll all the way to 'W' while driving!

I haven't noticed it on mine either. I love my 12" screen and Apple CarPlay, but I have also found it difficult to navigate the library in my Apple Music. Wish I could help, but only replying to see the answers!

I rented a Golf R in the UK for almost a year. Was super fun to drive around in over there
