Well I'm done. Finally.

Not sure I would go with arb again. Given the directions, wrong parts, and general pain in the butt that was the install.

There is definitely some steps in the directions that need to be explained more thoroughly. As well as in different order. (Fairlead after winch install)

I also had a few missteps that would take a long time to rectify. For example, I dropped one of the plastic caps for the bumper hole behind the bumper. It ended up in the intercooler shutter. Luckily I have a fiber optic camera that I was able to see where it went.

Now I need fog lights.

This install is never ending. The drivers side turn signal on the bumper is not working.

I suspect there might be a bent pin. The plug had a red piece of plastic that came off in the plug. I used. Needle nose pliers to pop it out.

Also, the factory tubing for the front camera washer needs to stay intact. There must be a checkball in one of the fittings. I took them all off and it pretty much flowed non stop.

I though the camera broke. Since it had a wierd distortion on it. Turns out it was just the washer fluid flowing over it.

Figured out that I have 4 washers that are 1mm less than the rest.

Now I'm trying to figure out how the 6mm nylon packer is supposed to fit onto the m10 bolt.

I am going through and sorting out all the hardware before my install tomorrow and I remembered seeing this. Here is what I think is going on:

The black M6 nylon packers (Part#5848302) you have pictured above are to be used in step #48 between the large and small license plate brackets. (pics below)

The M10X 6MM "packers" are not labled as such in the directions. I think they are refering to "WASHER FLAT M10x24x6" (Part #4584394). Could not find anywhere where it said that the M10 X 6MM packers were made of Nylon (the M6's are. ) Those washers are M10 and are 6MM thick so that is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Yep, I think I figured it out on page 2 or 3.

They were they only item listed on the inventory as "packers"

Which was utterly confusing. Since packers is not a term I had heard before.
Spacers, or washers would have been more helpful.

Eta, when I called arb tech support. Based on my description of a m6 nylon packer. They told me it was the wrong part and to go ahead and drill them to fit m10.

Pretty sure he just wanted me off the phone. And pro tip. Do not do the install right before a holiday. They closed on Friday and no answer on Monday. I spent a couple of hours on hold.

Yeah. It seems their engineering and customer service has take a massive nose dive since the recent expansions. The slider issues I faced had me embarrassed for them lol. Complete hackery. So sad. A decade ago I loved their products, and as much as I’d like this bull bar, between a few poor exchanges with their US customer service team on other products, the sliders, and reading the various threads about the install challenges, I think I’ll pass. Next closest option I’ve seen is the option this from Bodyguard:
https://bodyguardbumpers.com/bronco-products/bronco-extreme-front-winch-mount

But I have no experience with them.

The only thing that gives me pause is that most of these aftermarket bumpers aren’t being engineered thoroughly enough to interface with the various Ford safety systems. Very few companies have the resources to design and manufacture these types of complimentary components. I suspect there must be some law in Australia that requires aftermarket bumper manufacturers to do so. I remember being very impressed with ARB’s Sahara bar mount for my Nissan Pathfinder (R50). The dang things had a built in expansion joint to compensate for the airbag system. I’ve never seen anything like it on a bumper before or since. I had hoped the new Bronco bumper would have similar engineering since ARB appears to be a Tier 1 accessory partner. Now I don’t know what to choose.

Thank you for the detailed write up. I've got one of these sitting in my shop just waiting for the time to install. Hearing so many issues installing from you and everybody else. I'm really going to have to carefully check everything in the parts list.

I have yet to decide on a winch yet, so I may install without the winch and reinstall later this fall.

Lay all your hardware out and inventory it before starting. I installed without a winch for now. I may add one at a later date.

I could probably install in 6 hours now that I've done it.

The instructions have a lot of time sucking mistakes or steps that are out of order.

I managed to do the install solo. I used an engine hoist with webbing. I also wrapped my fenders with the excess bubble wrap to prevent scratches.

Edit for spelling. That's what I get for posting on a bus in mexico

Mostly done at this point. Very frustrating that they don't list part numbers in the instructions, just in the parts list. I've started grouping the hardware in ziplock bags by step number.

I'll be using a forklift and holding it in place with a ratchet strap. Maybe I'll get around to it on Sunday. I've read the instructions several times over, will read them again a few more times.

How did everyone wire the LED indicator lights? Orange for turn and white for running? I'm on the fence.

I skipped the indicator lights. In their place I used BD S2 amber lights on an upfitter switch. Makes for a very nice wide pattern for foul weather driving.

I wired them for amber turn and white running. One of the lights is intermittent for when it works.

I went on vacation and haven't had time to fix it.

I almost bought a used motorcycle jack for the install. But luckily I was able to make do

I thought about using my kids. But thethought of the amount of arguing and Cajoling. I figured it was less of a headache doing it myself

Interesting choice. Did you stick something in the fog hole or are you running empty?

Do you think it's your wiring, or the lamp that's bad?

I just finished bagging all the parts by step. But I seem to have a lot of extras laying around. Did ARB just send extras? The parts list matched up perfectly.
