Are you going to make one with a square back?

I just don’t get why people like the slat back so much.

Less room, harder to see out the back with rain and snow build up, harder to seal, causes a bigger blind spot, does not cover you with it open when raining to get your gear out the back, roof racks, have to be mounted closer to the center giving less support and stability, the sun load is much greater makes it hotter in the vehicle, harder to design and engineer.

They are making a “square back” which will still have a slight 10 degree slant. The slant is just a design preference. Visibility won’t be any different, but the rest are valid critiques!

Armadillo Designs is cruising along with their hardtop! They are looking for some feedback on their hardtop latches for anyone interested!

I replied on that. The twist/flip design is ok, but the actual material used for them looks flimsy and like they won’t hold up.

I also think they should have a gradual slope on the edge of the top panels so it’s a smoother transition. Like how they redid the front. Reminds me of a lid on a jar right now… Overall though, it looks much more refined.

@TheLawnDart - Curious if there are any updates on production?
The last I heard was expecting production this month! I think there were some holiday slowdowns with shipments/ production (as is tradition)

I think from what has been said we should start seeing shipping near the end of Jan, into Feb. I love the fact they are testing quite a few things, including the acoustics with their top.

Oh were getting short! I am so looking forward to receiving my top!

Love it!! I’m glad they made it one piece, looks like it’ll be much more winds and leak resistant

Somehow I think BroncBuster will not be in the shop welding all of the tops going out, so yeah I'm feeling pretty good about getting my top. You know a actual top that I ordered in Oct, not 2 years ago, and will not worry about sending it back to the dealer because the surface is delaminated.

Booger welds and all.

In the video from 1 day ago: “We got a lot to do to get ready before we go into full production of our hard tops…”

Interpret that how you will.
