if this is anywhere near true (big if based on the website)

jeep is dead. And there is no coming back. they will have to completely and totally redesign the platform and make new engines or just go electric.

this would be devastating

which is why i dont believe it

There are 2 engines on the Bronco and 3 on the Wrangler...
That comparison means absolutely nothing!

With the taller ratios on the auto for highway driving (assumed) I think the auto will be the winner economy wise, but probably not by much.

I'm hoping to see 22-23 highway with my 2.7 squatch. Although i might be dreaming a bit. I'm thinking i'll probably average 18 or so.

There is no way in hell EPA numbers are going to be above 20 for these bricks, especially not with those drive ratios and off road gearing and all the added weight from the accessories.

But there will be that one guy (you know who you are) who will constantly be bragging about 28-30 mpg while everyone else is getting low teens.

2.7 will have 18 combined
2.3 will have 21 combined
Sasquatch will lose 1-2mpg on both.

I no longer care about MPG as I did when I actually had to commute to work, and I'll probably get the hybrid in a few years anyway
