I have a F150 with a 3.5 and can get 22 at 65mph and 75mph I get about 20mpg. I did 10k mile with no reset and still averaged 17.mpg and I have a heavy foot. Pull a boat some and my car on a 16ft trailer to the track. with a 2.7 I can see it all day.

Does this make sense? EPA has mpg at 17.

Sure. I've had cars that beat EPA by 10mpg at times. And sometimes do much worse. It averages out over time.

I too have f150 w/ 3.5 but with 6” lift and 35” MT tires and average 18.1mpg highway cruising 70-75mph. So figure 2-3mpg loss with lift and tires.

Yeah the key is the speed. Once you go over 65, the MPG is a moot point. Don't know why they still gear cars for 55 anymore..who in the hell can even drive that slow? You'd get ran over here at that speed.

Yeah with Michigan having 75mph limits and being on some of the turnpikes on the east coast.. it’s mad max sometimes!
