Mike Martinez wrote an article in today's Automotive News about the delays and lack of communication from Ford. I was quoted!

I'm hoping our #DirtMountainBronco push is getting @Ford Motor Company attention. It certainly got under the skin of @mrlevine on Twitter over the weekend.

Can't read the Auto News Article because it is behind a paywall

Ultimately I think it boils down to this-

Ford was/is having issues with a vendor that was supplying chips for the built in Navigation and I'm guessing some other things.

Changes where done with the Job 2 2022MY Broncos that eliminated/mitigated those issues and allows them to be built and shipped.

That said vendor is still dropping the ball and thus why people's early 2022 builds are still sitting around

Its a shitty situation all around without a good outcome for anyone.

If this is true and my bronco is sitting in a lot for 8+ months due to missing built in navigation that’s really going to piss me off. Why could they not ship without navigation??

The only two things we know for sure that changed on the Bronco recently was them dropping the built in Nav (not the connected Nav with your phone) and the LED temps on the HVAC controls.

I'm going to assume that there is something else going on in addition to that is hanging up things, but what is the real question
