What’s your thoughts on the Honda? It’s on my lottery list.

It's a neat little plane. We use it for charter stuff as well as owner trips, but it's not really ideal for charter. If you top it off with gas, once you have two pilots in the front, you only get around 215lb of useful load. It's ok with two people, we can get across the country with one stop, and only burn about 4800lb of fuel the whole way. 3 pax or more and it really starts eating away at the fuel. And it only holds 2900lb of gas to begin with!

It's a great airplane if you're a rich guy pilot and you want to zip your family around.

Some awesome posts in this thread! I’ll play along, here’s my daily views. This pic was back in 2018 and I was able to catch the SpaceX launch in the background. Great to see I’m not the only avgeek on the forums! Lol

I got a chance to go up in an F-15E Strike Eagle a few years back. One of the coolest things I've ever experienced. Pulled 7.6g's a few times and had the time of my life. Even got to fly it myself for about 10 minutes. :)

My Favorite aircraft of all time...the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird spy plane.

“Most jet engines use igniter plugs, nothing more than a very hot spark plug, if you will. By using these igniter plugs, they used it with the JP-7 and it just drowns it out, it won't ignite. Kelly put his engineers to work, and he said, 'OK gentlemen, how we going to start this?' They came up with a very unique way. Triethylborane – TEB for short. Each engine has a one-and-a-quarter pint. If I had it in a squirt gun and I squirted it into the atmosphere, it goes Kaboom! – it explodes with contact with the atmosphere. And that's how we started the engines. As the engines rotate, at the right time it sprays this amount of TEB into the turbine section which goes kaboom and that in turn lights the engine. When you take the throttles up into the afterburner it puts this metered amount of TEB in, that lights up the JP-7. You get 16 shots for each engine." Rich Graham

My father was chosen to fly the b 47 ground breaking tech at the time multi jet engines ,smooth skin, swept wing bomber lots of stories about antics in that one.
Theres a movie stratigic air command with jimmy stewart hollywood all set up on runway to film JATO takeoff ,they tell cameraguy you better be back a ways he says hes staying ?watch the movie dad said he went 50 ft tumbling down the runway .
When he finished they gave him the horn button out of the yoke ,it may be one of the things i grab as i exit my burning house.

One of the perks of the job is access to cool aircraft like these. FAA "Hangar 6" which doubles as "CGAS Washington" at DCA.

N1 - Gulfstream G-IV used by the Secretary of Transportation, FAA Administrator et al
N3 - Cessna 560XL used by senior DOT officials
CG101 - Gulfstream G-V used by the USCG Commandant and senior staff
