@BroncoPatriot from Instagram and I decided to do a fairly last minute trip on the backway to Crown King. This is a super fun trail that I hadn't been on in years. Most of the trail has bypasses for the harder stuff but we both decided we wanted to put our Broncos to the test and take only hardlines and no bypasses. We started at Lake Pleasant and in the desert and climbed our way up to the Bradshaw Mountains and Crown King. Once in Crown King, we stopped at the saloon for some snacks and refreshments. It was a great day and both Broncos did amazing. This is one of my favorite trails in AZ. I left my house at 0630 and was back home just before 1800. The trail can be done faster but we took our time, filmed, and chatted a lot. Neither one of us were in a huge hurry. Both Broncos are ADS equipped. The ADS suspension made things nice between the plushness on the faster choppy stuff to the added flex in the rocks and off camber stuff.

Plan a day. You can do it faster but I find it most enjoyable to just plan a day and take it easy. Spend some time in Crown King while you’re there. Cool little town.
I left my house in southeast gilbert at 6:30am stopped for supplies and gas at I-17 and Carefree highway. Hit the trail. Stopped several times for filming or to take in the view. Stopped in Crown King for a meal and a drink. Was back home by around 6:00pm. It can be done faster if you wish.

That one is a friend/ customer. Not sure what his half rack is. I’ll have to ask him. If I recall the front section of his top is a best top.

How’d you get a two tone roof, and what half rack is that?

On the Cyber Orange Badlands, I think he has the Anderson Composite hard top after market but not sure about the color variation in the panels. His roof rack, I believe is the Hooke Off Road half rack.

Nice. I think I was the first Bronco on the trail back when 6G came out (or so I was told by the townsfolk). On my second or third go, snapped a tie rod.. Haven't been back in a couple years now though.

This is my Bronco when it was stock. This photo is either summer 2021 or early 2022..

Good to see some other Broncos off road here - very rare it seems. I think I've come across 1 other Bronco in ~3 years of wheeling mine.

I definitely want to hit that backway trail someday. (i'm in phx) I won't solo it so just need a group that's somewhat competent... it's on my list.

@Shifts And Grins Fab nothing on your site's about page (or it just wasn't loading content) but was looking into what fab you do. Also what do you think about ADS sus? I've been thinking that's what I want to go with... what UCA did you run with them?
