Im jumping in a little late, but could you give a quick summary of what’s needed to install on a base with plastic rear bumper? No trimming, but something has to happen to the exhaust? Permanent relocation or just temporary unbolt hanger or something during the install?

edit: I think I see bamf explained just moving it during install 👍 heading to order one now
Yup. Just take off a few bolts and move it a bit to make room, than put everything back. Takes about an hour for install.

This is great. Looks solid and love the low profile. I had ordered the draw-tite without thinking about it and it completely ruins departure angle.

Others with the plastic bumper have to cut this little nub? It blocks my bamf receiver hitch from going up where it needs to

Pretty sure just the BL and BD come with a steel rear bumper

I just got around to installing again and am struggling to get it to line up perfectly. I pulled my bumper to get a better view. My best guess is the factory welds on the frame are preventing the hitch from sitting up and as flush as it should. Has anyone had to grind the frame welds at all to get the hitch to line up perfectly?

edit: I took a little off that factory weld and sprayed it with rustoleum. Afterwards I was able to get the hitch mounted. The little nub on the plastic bumper that I mentioned earlier needed cut off too. For me, removing the plastic bumper was easier than loosening the exhaust hanger bolts and it gave me lots of room to work

Mine went on pretty easy. Just moved the muffler down and out of the way and the bolts went right in.

The only issue was the pin hole location being too far back. that's the only change that was made. you will still need to move the muffler to install there is no way around that.
We installed it on a badlands without removing or loosening a thing….
