This came up years ago, I believe it was confirmed to be used during manufacturing.

And just for reference, it's a QR code, bar codes are the black stripes.

It comes back with a date and time stamp, I just assumed it's when the truck rolled off the line, or something like that. I declared it my trucks birthday and plan on celebrating accordingly.
