Bash Plates are Plastic on my OBX 2023 (UPDATE) OBX is a MISBUILD. Well this is good news. My dealership got me all new bash plates and installed

I originally thought my build was just missing the front most bash plate, now I'm kind of bummed. But of course I've also already started shopping some aftermarket options. Metal Cloak looks like quite the serious option, doesn't appear to include the front-most plate though.

Any 4 doors gotten their plastic bash plate replaced yet? If so, did they replace just the front or did they replace the entire set? Dealer filed my misbuild back in January. Still waiting for the steel replacement to come in due to being on backorder. Would be cool to get the whole set for the inconvenience.

I'm not surprised. The "mistake" was no mistake. As I said then, random parts just don't show up on the assembly line. Seems as if Ford moves the goalposts as they see fit. They have a proven track record just as it pertains to the Bronco. They thought they could sneak this by. Now, they want to cast blame on the window sticker, B&P, Dealer Order Guide, etc.

Good luck on finding resolution to the matter.

Same with me also how did you like your $160 “ upgraded carpets “ I’ve got better carpets in my bathroom.

That was a misbuild too my dealership replaced them along with the bash plates

Hi, my 2023 Base with modular bumper also has the plastic bash plate. I stopped by my dealer's service department and they are trying to help but are struggling to find documentation in their parts system.

Can anyone share the part number of the correct steel bash plate?

My 2022 OBX (4dr) with modular steel bumper came with 2 front steel plates but nothing covering the plastic fuel tank. Anyone make a fuel tank only plate?

Finally got the plastic one replaced today. Steel bash plate was on backorder since end of January. Luckily, they sent and installed the full kit

Yep. I jumped on the build and price the other day for S&G and clicked the mod bumper and noticed it now says BB and OBX don't get steel bash plates

My 6/23 build 2 door OBX with the HD Mod bumper has a steel bash plate, steel engine skid, and since two door the steel fuel tank skid.

The B&P tool indeed says they are not included on the OBX, but my build sheet and Maroney says Steel Bash Plate:

I ordered the transfer case skid from Levittown Ford for $40 shipped.

This is the Ford Ranger transfer case skid, it is in the mail, but I am betting that it fits.

Once I receive it in the mail I'll test and report back if it fits.

Oh weird I just noticed it says Ranger too.

I got that part number from the Bronco part catalog...

Ranger is on the left, Bronco is on the right.

It looks like it will fit, but it is currently in the mail so I am not 100%. YRMV.
