True. But I would bet on “it’ll be fine”

There is a toggle for it in Forscan, I dunno if it does anything though

I guarantee it does something. It changes the way the alternator charges. Alternators are controlled by the ECM nowadays. Battery monitoring sensors, among other things, give the ECM info and then it tells the alternator when and how hard to charge depending on the state of charge in the battery. An AGM cannot handle a heavy charge it will burn it up.

So, everyone hates the stop and start feature on the Bronc. Well for me, I kinda like it, I use it as a gauge to how much charge is in the battery. Next time you start your Bronc, don't turn off the ASS and drive to the first red light if the Bronc does not shut off the battery is low on charge. The Bronc turns the ASS off if the battery is not up to charge. Next red light, if it doesn't shut off, it is still trying to charge the battery. For me somedays it's a dozen or so lights before it will start shutting off. Then I reach down and turn ASS off. Other days it may on be a light or two.

The driver does not control much anymore in new vehicles. You might be standing on the throttle but if you could see the ECM voltage to throttle it could be as low as 60%. The ECM dictates everything it just takes your input and decides if conditions are acceptable for your input. In my Fox Body days the junk T-5s were a warranty nightmare. Once Ford went to fly by wire now they could control throttle input. Closing it slowly at higher RPM and gradually bring it back in after a shift to hold down on transmission warranties. I read a quoted article in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords from a Ford programming guy. He said about the traction control in Stangs. "If you think you are a good shoe then turn it off and see if you can beat the ET with it on".

For the record AGM have different charge requirements than a flooded battery. The Bronc is designed to charge an AGM.

I'm not saying it won't work but if you have issues.........
I guess we'll see, it's a cheap experiment at least. I should find that Forscan toggle though.

Yes, if Forscan has that toggle I would do it, for sure. It might not change much but that could be the difference between having an "issue" and not having one.
