I wanted a reliable way of getting my Bluetti EB55 off the floor and out of the way. I think I built the perfect solution for anyone else that had this issue.

Ford Bronco Battery Shelf / Power Station Mount DIY Solution for Ford Bronco IMG_3643

Ford Bronco Battery Shelf / Power Station Mount DIY Solution for Ford Bronco IMG_3662

Materials used include: 1/2 thick HDPE Plastic sheet, velcro straps, adhesive felt sheet, M8x40 bolts, washers, aluminum L brackets, two 3/8 thick spacers and adhesive rubber seals to keep it from scratching the plastic. (The screws in the L brackets are for looks. I cut the heads off and glued them in).

I did Peters Mill OHV in Virginia with this. Stayed quiet and solid!

Looks good & nice work!

I would suggest rounding off that corner tho, that looks like a great place to bonk your head or scratch an arm or worse. (Safety first)

That is an amazing idea! Looks clean and functional. My issue is that I would not be able to open my fridge. I set my battery on the back seat, then run the plug to my fridge when we are camping, driving, etc. I would love a solution like that, but where I could still open the fridge.

I think it looks good, I would just be concerned about what it might do in an accident or even a hard breaking situation. It's right up at the head level, only strapped in with fabric straps, and I assume since it's a battery, it's heavy.

Thank you! I put my fridge right below it. It might not look like it from the picture but it's all tucked up inside the roll bar. I have no issues opening my lid.

Thank you, that was a concern of mine too. When on my trips I have that concern with all my gear. With this I tried to mitigate that by using industrial strength velcro straps and looping them through the platform board and the battery handle(s). That Velcro is no joke!

Well that is good news! I am going to have hubby measure it and see if we can do that. I hate setting the battery on the back seat. Thank you! I know all fridges are different, so we will have to see if we can open ours.

Thanks for posting this. This looks like a great fix for carrying the battery. Putting the Jackery on the back seat is not a great permanent solution. I may build this and try using a couple small cargo straps instead of the velcro.

If you were really concerned with it flying forward in an accident, you could always run some U-bolts through that handle on the backside.

Looks great! Who makes the storage bag above the roll bar and how does it attach? I've only seen the ones that attach under the roll bar with straps around the roll bar.

Love the setup - well done!

I’m surprised it can hold that weight, especially going over rough roads and bouncing around. I love the concept though!

It's not elegant, but my floor mounted/rubber bungee system has held for 2 years. I charge with the 120v plug.

That is also a really good idea! Our problem is we have a big fridge, it barely fits in the back, it sits on a slide out tray, and I can barely close the back swing gate. Thanks for sharing!

It's made by XG Cargo. The price is a little steep but they built very well. They bolt to the roll bar via mounting points that already exist. They've proved very useful!
