I was just getting over this... why must you make me relive this pain? Do you enjoy watching me suffer and cry?

kidding aside I very much would take mid with bd. I’m going bd regardless because it’s the best combination of want, need, budget and usefulness. BL stretches me too far.

I would settle for a compromise of a cold weather package, as that was the primary thing I wanted out of the mid was heated seats (why heatedwheel is in the higher package is just plain stupid when almost any Jeep has it as an option. Another argument for another day).
Agree. All I want to add to my BD is a "cold weather" package.

Original information on the Ford website was misleading that mid-pkg would be available for BD, just without the auto start. And I don't care about auyo start or anything ekse on mid except the stinkin' heated seats!

FORD? ARE YOU TRULY LISTENING????

PEOPLE REALLY WANT A COLD WEATHER PACKAGE TO ADD HEATED SEATS TO THEIR MANUAL BLACK DIAMONDS!!!!!

I think it would speak for itself with making it a package. Jeep did it for a reason, and if they are trying to compete, why not do it better?
All along, these past few years, I have thought that an "adventure vehicle" like the Bronco, designed to have a removable top, should have heated seats to extend the topless season just a little bit further for us Northern climate folks.
I've had that picture in my head for years, since I started planning the resto-mod build of my 69, ...... cruising through the fall foilage, hard top off, summer bikini top on, heated seats warming the wifes ...soul.

Well, bumpers and plates as well. But I like the point you make.
Yeah you’re right I overly simplified it. Besides the steel rear bumper those can all be optioned up to BD spec (which I do intend to do). There’s also the aux switches which can also be added. You’re still looking at around 6-7 grand less than BD though.

I'm thinking BD is just the right amount of capability I'm looking for in Bronco.
Every time I decide on getting the mid, just for the seat heaters, with the AT, I might as well get the 2.7 as well, right? Then I decide to get the BL for that price with the mid, then it turns out way more $$ and way more capability than I really need.

After seeing how easy it was to change out the Leather seat bottoms of my wife's Expedition (and it has all the seat blower gizmos, airbag thingies, and power seat mechanisms that Bronco won't have in a BD), I'm thinking that I'm going to go BD MT and this

I can do both front seats for less than $100. That's a $1395 discount for doing it myself, AND I still get my manual tranny.

I mean, if your the kind of person that doesn't mind doing a little work on your rig, then this is the perfect solution if the seat heater is all you want out of the Mid.

Poll Flame me if you wish, but I am curious how many would do bd Manual + Mid if the option was to be allowed? I am pretty disappointed we are forced to BL for mid features for no apparent reason.
This would've been my exact build choice. I was planning on it until B&P came out, then Ford confirmed it's not happening.

I'd probably allow the MID and put the line of demarcation at HIGH.
Which is what they are already doing with the automatic. It's frustrating

I believe those can be optioned on the base at least though

Right, I should have clarified by "Allowed the MID with Man. and cut it at High."

I'm pretty committed to the BL as it is, but Mid with the BD would be a very compelling vehicle.

But then I'd 'squatch it to get a front locker. And then I'd be looking for a BL grill. And then I'd be.... you get it.

This is what I planned on until B&P. I would be down for a cold weather package at minimum. Only thing I really don't want to live without is heated seats. It is crazy to me that Ford doesn't offer this below a Badlands. My 2020 Tacoma comes standard with a wireless charger, automatic rearview mirror, and dual automatic climate control. It is wild to me that Toyota is ahead of Ford with options because Toyota is so behind the times in anything cool besides reliability..

Thats not a bad idea. How is the safety with this? Id hate for insurance to rip me a new Ahole because I burned down the new Bronco.

I just got off the phone with The Seat Shop, where I purchased the OEM covers, and he directed me to checkcorp.com, he said they are a tier 1 supplier to some of the auto manufacturers. I'm going to look there, or at the Dorman ones that were in that screen grab. I'm going to steer clear of any of the cheap chinese ones that are super low priced just because of my concern with burning down Bronco. Shoot, I may wait until I can get a Motocraft part number and just use OEM parts.
