That might be the way to go. I kind of wanted the signature lighting and the 12" screen, but it's hard to beat that base build for off road capability at that price point.

Remember sales tax, that can add $3,000 depending. I’d go BD, mid hardtop.

I think it totally depends on how you plan to use it. There's no sense in getting features that aren't going to be used such as steel bumpers, bash plates and rock rails on the Black Diamond. You can't go wrong. Get the vehicle that suits your lifestyle. For me at this price point, I'd be looking at the Black Diamond. I also intend to take advantage of that extra off road protection.

I have been all over this 45k number

Get a low model and load it up or fall in the middle and get something that lacks one or 2 things

For today it's a 2dr Badlands 2.7 , mid , 4.7 gears , mid package for just under 47k

Hope to shave some off with plan pricing and really hope to be under 50 all told

Base+2.7+Hard top+squatch is about $43k. Add $2k worth of accessories and there ya go.
Nah: two door badlands (in any color other than rapid red or cyber orange) + mid and done. Full capability out the door.

$45k has been my ceiling for a 2-door, problem is that pretty much no matter how I build whatever trim they're all pretty close to each other (these are using the Stephens/Granger $1k under invoice prices):

BB w/squatch, mid, v6, bumper, lights, RR's, bumper, switches is 43784
BD w/squatch, mid, v6 is 43667
BL w/2.3 and manual, mid, optional wheels is 43681
BL w/2.3 and manual, high, optional wheels is 44899
BL w/V6, mid, optional wheels is 45462
BL w/V6, high, optional wheels is 46680 (the only one that goes over my set price)

The thing is all of these are basically the same truck with mainly minor detail separating them, all of them will work and are more than I'll ever need ... anyrate, good luck!
