Best way to get a front fender that actually matches?

I have an orange OBX and have some damage to my driver's side front fender. But, all the Ford dealerships near me say they can order the part but it's not painted and they won't paint it. I live in a rural area and I'm not convinced a local body shop can match the paint to the rest of the vehicle since cyber orange seems to have some complexities to it. I haven't been able to locate a used fender either. Any suggestions?

Go to the "big city" and find a paint shop? You would think there would be a few reputable shops in Miami that would be up to the task.

@broadicustomworks can OP expect a paint shop to want to fade in the adjacent door to get a better "match"? I know this is down with standard paints but not sure about the them fancy tri-coat metallics.

Maybe call some dealerships in the closes5 major city to you and inquire? Might be a bit of a drive but that’s what I’d do.

Thanks for the tag!
Short answer-best way is to blend into the hood and door, clear coat all 3 panels.
Still no guarantee but a ton better off than just painting the fender alone and hoping for the best.

Well even if they could get you a pre painted part, that doesn't mean it will match. Between the sun, color mismatch between batches, and a few other factors, it would hard to do. I would talk to people that have had body work done and see which shop they have used. Any body shop should be able to paint match. As stated above all the parts near the repair should be done at the same time to blend it better. Ask the dealer who they use.

Disregard the doubters. Just order the fender and have a reputable body shop paint the part. The only issue with tri coats is the cost. They cost more, but everything that is superior costs more.

Wait… your dealership won’t paint the fender?

Most dealerships don’t have a body shop.
Some have one they work with, but not all.

Good point, mine does and just assumed most others did.
