Can someone confirm the Mcgard 64015 lug nuts with the bulge cone seat allow the same or more thread engagement? Thanks!

FYI for people here with the stock BD steelies, the center cap (plastic with the bronco logo) is held on by the midline bulge on the Ford lugs.

So the McGard lugs which are almost definitely a better design but lack that bulge/lip cannot hold the cap on. Just fyi for people, you'll need a new hub cap/cover if you want to use these aftermarket black lugs
Well, that is disappointing!

Any idea if these will work?

Gorilla 21138BC

They stress that they are for 'Aftermarket wheels only'.

I've used Gorilla Lugs before and really like them. I'd rather a spline drive for all the lugs rather than some Spline/Lock/regular lug combo. This is the only set of 27 I've run across so far.

will aftermarket lug nut Acorn seat work with OEM SAS wheels?

I am replacing 4 wheels with aftermarket wheels. By my spare wheel is still the OEM SAS wheel. I am trying to avoid carrying multiple lug nuts.

Can aftermarket lugnut used to hold OEM SAS wheel in case I need to spare wheel?

Anyone have BD steelies with black lugs? I’ve been debating it - but on the other hand started debating wheel colors that go with Iconic Silver…really only black…so, now debating lugs again. Just got a Base grill…so, I think it will tie in nicely.

4WP is getting me the Pro Comp 6 lug set of black lugs to go with my new wheel/tire setup. They are the splined style so will have a spline socket in the glove box. I'll see how I like them, may switch out to the McGard's later.

You can get a set of splined lug nuts at Discount Tire for $45 and they will toss in 3 for the spare for free.

I went a slightly different route by splitting the buy up between Amazon and McGard.

Bought Kit # 84538 - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DIX1PNC
Bought Qty (2) #64015 - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COS0H4

Then once lock code is in hand, contact McGard to buy an additonal lock nut (and key so I have a spare) coded to the kit.

Edit to Add (9/2/2021):

Talked to McGard salesrep and asked if they had plans to create a 27 piece kit for the Bronco similar to the one for the Jeeps and they stated that they do not. Maybe after the Bronco has been out a few years. So for now, the method I've outlined is the most cost effective. Approximately $120
So you're not locking your spare?

So you're not locking your spare?
No I am.

24 lug nuts + 5 locks = 5 lug nuts + a lock per drive wheel, 2 lug nuts + a lock for spare, and 2 extra lug nuts left over.

Does not look like there is the same shoulder surface area. Will the Mcgards work?
