I despise blank and missing switches on my vehicles. I've noticed some trims have only 3 hero pack switches leaving a large area with nothing. This is of course because of off-road hardware you don't opt for.

Do you think the aftermarket will come up with a use for this empty space? 2nd photo is from the OBX Fishing Guide video:

Absolutely.

I was one of the first owners of an FJ Cruiser when they came out in March of 2006. I was kind of late to order one and it left me scrambling to grab one that wasn't spoken for. The one I found did not have Toyota's ATRAC which helped with tire spin.

It turns out that Toyota had already pre-wired that into the dash and all you had to do is buy the button ($63.00 versus the $800.00 ATRAC option). So yes, there will be aftermarket options using OE switches but there may also be pre-wired Ford options in that same location.

This is one of those things that just got overlooked. Designer fatigue maybe. That blank spot is going to be a filth trap, just like a bellybutton. They could have at least not made the blank spot a crater, or gone one further and made it a blank aux switch.

Like many other things we still don't know if this what final production will look like.

Tesla is the king of this! The upgraded sound system is a software update.

the heated seats are also a software update.

Badlands is the only trim that gives you all five right due to sway bar disconnect included?

FE has Sway Disco so it can have all six also. In fact, pretty sure every FE will have all six while some BL that have manual XMSN will only have five.

Ahhh...Thanks. Not sure how I feel about the carpeted flooring and forced to get a hard top on the FE but I’ll definitely keep that trim on my radar to see if anything changes.

I really wish this is what they will do. I can't think of 6 things I need for all the aux switches (and switches that do nothing big will drive me crazy) but if there were 2 or 3 filling the empty slots on the hero bar I'd be one happy camper.

It would be nice if we could use the unused hero space or aux switch for a garage door opener since you have to get the LUX package to even add that.

Trail turn assist on the 7spd? Thought it was a 10A item only.
