My Wildtrak hero switch bank has the empty space where the sta-bar disconnect button would be on a First Edition or a Badlands. Has anyone swapped out their stock hero switches with the one that comes stock on the FE or the Badlands? I'm just curious to see if the functionality of the buttons would be the same minus the sta-bar disconnect button.
To answer your question as I have done this in my Wildtrak, it does work with no errors. Stabar Disco button is lit up but does nothing when you press it as Wildtrak does not come with this feature as you know and should expect. All of the other buttons work perfect with no problems.

Could you be more specific about your situation? Looking to do the same. Did you simply order the part from your dealer? If so, did they install, how much was it?

I just popped the original one out with a plastic pry tool, unplugged it, plugged in the new one, and snapped it back into place. I got it from Ruxer Ford, best place to get parts and you can get in on the forum discount since you are a member here and Phil @flip has outstanding customer service. Hit him up to get a quote, can't go wrong with them. I will post some pictures when I get home.

I wonder if you could wire up an unrelated accessory to the dead switch, like maybe a winch relay or something. Though, that being said, I've found that little space to be really useful and I'm not sure I want to give it up.

I have found that a Copenhagen can fits perfectly on my Base Mansquatch.
