Does the top of this bottle jack not screw out for extra height like on every bottle jack I’ve ever seen?
And yes keep a block of wood with it. If you need a roadside tire change that bottle jack needs a wider base for safe use off the pavement.
Screwing out the top of the jack is something I missed. I just tried it and it gave me about 3 extra inches more in height.
I'm just a little nervous about how wobbly it gets at the tip/top of the jack after unscrewing about 2 in.
But I'll definitely be looking into getting some wood pieces.
Thank you. Appreciate it

I agree he will still need blocks since he has suspension droop to overcome also.
I was late to the party and didn't realize I still had a little height if I turn the tip counterclockwise. Gave me about another 3 in of height. But I'm still going to look into getting some blocks of wood for some stability 👍

Was literally just looking for a solution for this too!

Found it at Overland West and the Owner is creating a mount for the Bronco in the "trunk" area. He uses this to lift his modded Braptor. I thought he was going to charge an arm and a leg but nope:

Was carrying a knockoff pro eagle before but this will be my go to when traveling now. Hope this helps!

Yeah, this is why everyone is saying to stack stuff underneath. It just gets worse trying to go on the top. If you try wood blocks on top, the post is such a small surface area compared to the feet that it will dig into the wood rather than giving you that extra lift you need.

I use a few pieces of 1 x 6's, cut to about 8" long stacked under the jack to give it extra lift. Any wide boards will do. I use them under the factory jack...works perfectly lifting without fully extending the jack.
Have been thinking about a higher lift jack... Looks like I'll be reviewing my extra lumber in the garage and getting out the chop saw instead :)

I was at Overland West and didn't see Motleyind. Oh well, they're not far from me.

Last few times I've used wood blocks, they started making cracking noises, and one actually cracked. Maybe there is a better quality wood some folks are using? Perhaps something more dense and less prone to splitting over time?
