Bought second rear tow hook from Ford

Factory loops are tilted down at an angle, while these are thicker they go straight out. Most likely not much of a difference. I will get back to you later today when I place my factory next to these.

How did these end up comparing to the factory ones?

Seems like a lot of people are looking to put a factory tow hook on the rear passenger side of Broncos that only come with a rear drivers side tow hook. The Ford dealer parts department didn't have an easy time finding it, but they eventually did. Not cheap, though. $71 for the hook and $6 for the two bolts. I used my Ford points, so it wasn't as painful. Torque for bolts is 59 ft/lbs.

Complained to my dealer because I thought that my BD had arrived misconfigured and they set me up with one for free.

Mine isn’t very different from yours, 2022 2dr BB SAS, but damn it was one of the harder bolts I’ve ever removed. Maybe someone at MAP turned up the juice when they were putting mine together

Did you have dealer installed mudflaps by chance? I wonder if someone took it off and put it back on.

Mine certainly took at least that when taking the plastic rear bumper off

These hang down 1/2 to 5/8 inch lower than factory. Although they have a much better roll off angle than factory.

No dealer installed anything…the effort I applied to remove the bolts felt exactly the same as the effort I put into the 59 ft/lb torque spec…yet another Bronco mystery

I got a quote to purchase the OEM rear tow hook in Canada and they quoted me $140 CAD which is about $100 USD. It would make the most sense to drive down and self import even with tax.

BD owner here with one hook. I bought the 2nd hook from Ford back in August. If you go to the Ford Performance Bronco website, can get a pair of red hooks for 130.00
