This is not the click sound thing others have reported (although I hear that in this a bit too)... Wildtrak Bronco has 800 miles on it....started about 300 miles. I get this loud Spring-y / Whoosh sound when pushing the brake when in gear. If in park, I do not hear the sound. I have also heard (although can't replicate on demand) a louder and longer whooshing sound at times from same area. The constant sound is noticeable enough where backseat passengers have asked about it.

I took it to dealership and they said it is normal and compared it to the demo the manager is driving. Is this accurate? Does your Bronco make this sound when brake is pushed? It did not make the sound the first 300 miles.

Ideas?

Ours has always had that sound. Stereo volume knob fixes it.

Hi,
I have the same problem with my 2023 WT brake pedal, about 600 miles on
the odometer as of today. Were you able to resolve? I'm trying to get an appointment
at Santa Monica Ford...

Nope…just letting it whoosh. Ford doesn’t think it’s an issue. I don’t agree but will see where it goes over the next 5k miles if I don’t end up in a ditch because of brake failure.

Yeah I'm going to get it checked, it feels like the pedal is rubbing or binding, and the whoosh does not inspire confidence.

Mine is doing it, too. Had it to the dealer twice. They claim Ford says it's because of the brake booster. I have a buddy with the same truck and it has no "whoosh." I had an

older Ford truck that had the same sound and had to have the slave cylinder replaced. Taking the truck to my mechanic this week for him to check it out.

I hear it slightly. I’m under 1k miles on ‘23 BD 2.7. My previous ‘22 2.3 Bronco didn’t do it. Doesn’t bother me much. I’ll take that over the “thud” people have been reporting.

My 2014 4Runner did the same thing. Forums said it was normal. I think it's just an off-road SUV thing.

I am having also the same sound. It was not there, it suddenly started. And it’s so annoying on slow speeds. I feel like it is a quality issue and needs to be fixed, or at least find a way to hide the sound if it is a “normal” sound.
It is a wildtrack 2023 too. Bad batch? I’m thinking about waiting for it to stop. (No pun intended)

Mine makes the same noise. Along with the clunking from the pedal and the chattering from the world's most hyperactive ABS module, the Bronco brakes sure are something.

I'm currently on my second ABS module after total brake failure at 10k miles.

Did you ever fix it? Did they acknowledge there is an issue?

This is completely normal. It’s due to the electronic brake booster, which is why the same thing doesn’t happen on Broncos with a 2.3 because they don’t have one.

The noise went away shortly after my post and I have not experienced
any adverse effects. Also inspected lines for leakage, negative.

I have the airy pumping brake sound on my 2024 Heritage - it started 2nd day . I swear it wasn’t there day one on the drive home from dealer - unless I was too excited to pay attention. Anyway, was concerned it needed repair - guessing not!?!?
