Take it in and see whats wrong or look it over yourself. Mechanical things fail, it’s not a Ford thing.
If he pumped the breaks and they worked the breaks did not fail. It’s time for service.

Or sell it & curse Ford forever. I have heard Toyota does not even make spare parts or offer service because they never have any issues and everything lasts forever.
I have never heard of any vehicle encountering brake failure due to lack of routine service. Plus one to the Toyota comment, though. My 17 Tacoma has never needed anything other than oil, tires, and one rotor being resurfaced.

No need to touch it if you flushed/bled the brakes. It uses the same reservoir.
Also the clutch is very tricky to bleed correctly without the right equipment, you’d likely just introduce air into the line. It’s not worth messing with.
Thank you for confirming.

Sounds like someone could use a cute rubber duck on their dash!

When you own a vehicle from a brand that's long had reliability issues and has been recently leading the industry in recalls, you would think blue oval fans would grow thicker skin. On the other hand shit happens with all makes and brands and if you purchases a Ford, expecting to have an issue free ownership experience you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. You gotta take the good with the bad or domestic ownership may not be for you. Losing brake functionality is probably right at the top of issues that can have catastrophic results, so I can understand the OP's disappointment and the bit about not becoming a Ford fan is kind of understandable given the circumstances but brake issues aren't just a Ford thing as it can happen to any vehicle if an integral part fails.
I have had the Brake warning light come on several times. Two long trips, one to Colorado a couple years ago, and Montana last summer. Very intermittent. It happened last weekend on the way to my daughters for Easter. I thought it only happened on long trips until last weekend. So, what did I do, went to the dealership, they checked it out, found nothing. Came on here discussed it with other members. What did I not do, come on here and start ranting about how bad Ford is in one post and then disappear. The comment by the other poster was not mean or offensive. We can debate different makes reliability etc. until the cows come home and every single person on here will have positive and negative experiences with all of them. Just like my 1998 Ranger that I paid 17k for out the door brand new, 4cyl 5 speed. Sold it with 215k miles on it. The only problem I had, threw a timing chain at 150k. Ford replaced it for $100. Last time I saw the guy that bought it, it had close to 300k still going strong. Every time someone comes on here and starts bashing Ford with zero evidence that they have used a little common sense and problem solving, or done their due diligence it ends up like this every time.

Wasn’t about the police. This is a Bronco forum bud, nobody gives a shit or wants to hear about your political statements or J6 opinions.

Also, I’m pretty sure the only one whining was you, when you compared this place to “Nazi Germany” because your political signature was deleted by the Admin 🙄

So if you’re done now, maybe we can go back to Bronco brake issues.
Not sure why you defend the indefensible (or take it upon yourself to police thought), but nothing surprises me anymore.

Let me spell it out for you...N-O P-O-L-I-T-I-C-S...None, zero, nada...You are the one that had the J6 signature bullshit. I called you out on it and asked you to remove it. You got butt-hurt and started accusing me of being anti police (which is complete Bullshit). Then you got your little feelings hurt again when admin took it down. Then we all became nazi's. Even now you have that slava ukraini and never forget trash in your signature, oh, you wrap it in Pearl Harbor and twin towers as if J6 is somehow equivalent. NOBODY comes on this BRONCO 6G Forum to hear or see anything political. NOBODY gives two shits what you think about politics! If you don't like it, fucking leave!

I have to remind myself of that every time I drive my 40 yr old car with rear drum brakes :)
How about near 60 yrs old ! My Bronco is almost twice the weight as well. Maybe we hear back from the OP after he takes it in to a shop and find out it had an actual issue like old brake fluid or worn out pads OR it was just operator error.

First car was a ‘65 ford Fairlane 500, drum brakes all around. Stopping distance was not good. Got used to stopping early.

Now a days (in modern cars) my wife and son wait to last second, scare me to death.

Such abrasive 1st posts is not a good idea.
Just checking, so it’s ok to be abrasive to people who have critical issues with the product that this forum is predicated on, but it’s not ok to be abrasive to those people making the comments? Just checking as I get the lay of the land.

In fairness, from an outside perspective most people on here are pretty down to earth, but some of you are eat your own if there is an issue identified with Bronco.

It is as if the issue is somehow a personal affront to your vehicle instead of a “hey I had this happen, anyone else?”

Other vehicle forums seem to have a little more understanding that issues that pop up with people’s rides are common place and it’s good to know what to watch out for.

The Bronco is a great vehicle, but it has flaws, and that’s ok, because there’s not a vehicle on the planet that doesn’t.

My son’s 2021 Big Bend 2.3 liter failed to have brakes yesterday. He said he hit the brakes a they went to the floor and a brake light came on the dash. He said he pumped them once and then he had brakes again. He is 17 years old and this is very scary. Seen some other issues with this on here. Something about a vacuum hose. Failing brakes seems like it should be a recall because automakers get sued over failing brakes. It is out of warranty of course so I’m sure Ford will not do anything about it. Just be aware of this and be careful. I am becoming not a ford guy.
They have a tendency to not want to fix such things even under warranty, I sent you a PM.

This happened to mine several months ago. I immediately took into the dealership and they said it was a software issue. They tried chargng me for the update, I called Ford customer care and they took care of it for me. I have not had an issue since, Hope that helps
Software issue? What exactly did you tell them and did they say what the software issue was so someone can say the same if they’re having this issue

My 1965 Mustang had manual brakes with a single reservoir master cylinder. I had a brake line fail and lost all braking. Not fun.
Had the same with my 65 Galaxie, 4 wheel drum with single res... Had that happen 3 times.
Ended up upgrading the entire brake system.

Only 2 reasons people go to forums: to personally seek or share knowledge, and entertainment. If you "find it interesting" enough to reply, it's one of those. :ROFLMAO:

This is a zero-entertainment forum, sir or maam.
